News See the Emotional Love Songs and Show-Stoppers from "American Idol" Stars Who Crossed Over to Broadway (Video) The upcoming season of the talent series "American Idol" will be its last, Fox announced May 11. While most contestants on the show are seeking pop stardom, many "Idol" artists end up appearing on Broadway after their TV run conclude.

In addition to the unknown singers who found their way to Broadway after becoming household names on "Idol," many theatre actors were also among the thousands of hopefuls who auditioned (and sometimes made it to TV) each year.
