Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and stage and screen actor David Oakes (Shakespeare in Love, The Borgias) star in the West End premiere of David Ives’ acclaimed Broadway play Venus in Fur. The two-hander is set to have a limited engagement, directed by Patrick Marber, at the Theatre Royal Haymarket October 6–December 9.
Take at look at the first photo of show’s stars below:
In Venus in Fur, an actor, to be played by Dormer, arrives unannounced for an audition in downtown Manhattan. Will she have what it takes to convince director Thomas (played by Oakes) that she’s right for the leading role in his next big production?
The West End staging is designed by Rob Howell, with lighting by Hugh Vanstone and casting by executive producer Ilene Starger.
The revival of the John Kander-Fred Ebb-Joe Masteroff musical opened at the August Wilson Theatre April 21, with Eddie Redmayne and Gayle Rankin leading the cast.
