Multiple Grammy, Tony, and Emmy Award nominee Vanessa Williams, along with Tony winners Judith Light, Alice Ripley, Ellen Burstyn, Michael Cerveris, and Elizabeth Ashley performed at the New York City premiere of Right Before I Go on December 4. The new play by Stan Zimmerman is woven together from the last words of people lost to suicide.
The evening benefited the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and the JED Foundation.

Consisting of accounts from people “including the heartsick, bullied, veterans, mentally ill and the achingly lonely,” Right Before I Go is designed to “help broaden public perspective of suicide, eliminate the stigma associated with depression, and strengthen the relationship between survivors and those struggling every day.”
