Three actors will join the previously announced Jim Broadbent in the upcoming London world premiere of Martin McDonagh’s A Very Very Very Dark Matter, a dark exploration of the secretive life of Hans Christian Andersen.

Oscar winner Broadbent will play the fairy-tale writer in the Matthew Dunster-helmed production; the cast will also include Elizabeth Berrington (Trafalgar Studios’ Rasheeda Speaking), Phil Daniels (Les Misérables), and newcomer Johnetta Eula’Mae Ackles.

Performances will begin October 12 (instead of the initially reported October 10) at London’s Bridge Theatre, where the play will open October 24. Performances are scheduled through January 6, 2019.

The production will feature sets and costumes by Anna Fleischle, lighting design by Philip Gladwell, and sound design by George Dennis. Additional casting will be announced at a later date.
