Chicago News See Who's Joining Laurie Metcalf in World Premiere of Samuel D. Hunter's Little Bear Ridge Road at Steppenwolf

Steppenwolf's upcoming Samuel D. Hunter world premiere finally has a name, Little Bear Ridge Road. It also has a cast set to join the previously announced Laurie Metcalf.

Performances run June 13-July 21 at the Chicago theatre, with opening night set for June 23. Joe Mantello is directing.

Newly announced cast members include John Drea as James and Kenny, Meighan Gerachis as Paulette and Vicki, and Micah Stock as Ethan. Metcalf's character is Sarah.

It has also been revealed what the work is about: The play will follow the Fernsby family in rural Idaho as an estranged aunt and nephew reunite following the passing of a family patriarch.

The production will feature scenic design by Scott Pask, costume design by Jessica Pabst, lighting design by Heather Gilbert, and sound design by Mikhail Fiksel. Patrick Zakem is serving as creative producer, with Tom Pearl as producing director, Laura D. Glenn as production stage manager, and Jaclynn Joslin as assistant stage manager. Casting is by JC Clementz.

Pre-sales for Steppenwolf members are currently active, with single tickets set to go on sale beginning January 30 at noon CT.
