The Associated Press, in a review of the concert, reported that former Spring Awakening cast member Jenna Ushkowitz, who plays Tina in the show, took the lead on "Bad Romance," which will appear on the show in an upcoming episode featuring a Lady Gaga tribute. The review reported that her rendition "had the audience roaring (though most of the delight might have been for the bevy of co-stars, [Chris] Colfer in particular, back-up dancing in Lady Gaga costumes)." The review also singled out Ushkowitz's performance of "True Colors," Colfer's solo on the Wicked power ballad "Defying Gravity," and "Glee" and Spring Awakening star Lea Michele singing Funny Girl's "Don't Rain on My Parade" as the cast ran through the auditorium.

Although the adult stars of "Glee," including Tony nominee Matthew Morrison, did not appear onstage in the concert, the AP review reported that they contributed taped messages. Jane Lynch, in character as Sue Sylvester, appeared on video screens to open the show, telling the audience that after seeing the glee kids she loves to hate perform, "You will be barfing."

"Glee" airs Tuesdays at 9 PM on Fox. Additional concert tour stops include Los Angeles, CA (May 20-22 at the Gibson Amphitheatre); Chicago, IL (May 25-26 at the Rosemont Theatre); and New York, NY (May 28-30 at Radio City Music Hall).
