News SF's Magic Explores Memory in Plays at an Exhibition, Oct. 31-Nov. 8 SF's Magic Theatre teams up with The Exploratorium Museum to present Plays at an Exhibition, a project spanning two weeks which presents 10-20 ten minute plays from ten local writers. The pieces, commissioned by The Magic, are based on The Museum's current exhibition on memory.

SF's Magic Theatre teams up with The Exploratorium Museum to present Plays at an Exhibition, a project spanning two weeks which presents 10-20 ten minute plays from ten local writers. The pieces, commissioned by The Magic, are based on The Museum's current exhibition on memory.

The first weekend (Oct. 31 & Nov. 1) will have a team of eight actors and two directors present staged reading of the new plays, followed by an audience discussion regarding the plays and the exhibition. Then it's back to the drawing board, as the writers then revise the plays for a second presentation the following weekend (Nov. 7 & 8).

The ten local playwrights include: Robert Baker, Ricardo Bracho, Michelle Carter, Ellen Chang, Cherylene Lee, June Lomena, Daniele Nathanson, Kate Small, Camille Roy, and Mary Michael Wagner. Directing the readings are Kent Nicholson (of The Magic) and Pam Winfrey (of The Exploratorium).

The Magic Theatre and The Exploratorium Museum's presentation of Plays at an Exhibition plays at The Musuem's McBean Theatre Oct. 31, Nov. 1, Nov. 7, and Nov. 8, at 2 P.M.. Admission to any presentation is free with museum admission.
