SFX Entertainment has acquired the assets of International Sports Management Pty Limited (ISMP), a major sports talent representation firm in Australia.

The buy increases the international presence of SFX's rapidly growing Sports Group, the company said.

Now in the midst of a prolonged acquisition program, SFX develops and manages touring Broadway shows, and sells Broadway subscription series and individual productions in 55 markets. An integrated franchise that promotes and produces a broad variety of live entertainment events locally, regionally and nationally, SFX has 120 venues overall, and owns or operates venues in 31 of the top 50 domestic markets.

ISMP was founded in 1992 by George Mimis, who will continue to run the business and represent clients through SFX Sports (Australia) Pty Ltd. Historically, Mimis has developed a wide range of sports management and marketing services at ISMP featuring an all-star roster of Australian Rugby League players and professional tennis players.

ISMP clients include international tennis superstar, Patrick Rafter, as well as Australian Rugby League stars, Bradley Clyde, Matt Gidley, Darren Lockyer, Gorden Tallis and Chris Anderson (Australian coach). Mr. Mimis will continue to operate the business and represent ISM's clients.

SFX Sports Group executive vice president and chief operating officer William J. Allard said, ``We are extremely pleased that George and his company are joining the SFX Sports Group. Although this transaction did not require a significant capital commitment by SFX, the excellent professional reputation of George and ISM, together with the addition of their top ranked clients to SFX's premier group of athletes, compliments SFX Sports Group's current global operations, further solidifying SFX Sports Group's position as a major force in the international sports arena.''

George Mimis said, ``Our company is certainly well positioned to capitalize upon our current status in the domestic market place from the leverage that the SFX Sports Group will provide."
