The 9:30 PM concert follows a sold-out premiere at Joe's Pub in December 2013 and celebrates her "KickStartHer" campaign to complete the world's first crowd-funded sex change.

According to press notes, "Shakina makes her 54 Below debut with One Woman Show: A Work In Progress, recounting in song and story the exploits and misadventures that led to her gender transition. A story of surviving the 90s and creating a new life in a new millennium, One Woman Show is a benefit for Shakina's high profile KickStartHer campaign to raise funds for gender confirmation surgery. Shakina's public approach to her gender transition is living performance art with a dark, funny, and powerful cabaret edge."

Written and performed by Nayfack with music direction by Jeremy Robin Lyons, the evening features classic covers and original songs by Julianne Wick Davis (Southern Comfort), Sam Salmond (Mormons, Mothers, and Monsters) and Nikko Benson (Nikola Tesla Drops the Beat) as well as a world-premiere song written for the show by Joe Iconis (The Black Suits).

The band features Mike Rosengarten on guitar, Joseph Wallace on bass and Jeff Roberts on drums.

A KickStartHer after party, hosted by Nayfack, follows the concert and features performances by Kate Loprest (First Date), Leslie McDonel (American Idiot, Hairspray), Anastacia McCleskey (Hair, The Book of Mormon), Sheri Sanders, Natalie Wachen (Off-Broadway's Rent), Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair national tour), Rachel Lee, Amanda Savan, Lauren Marcus and Bonnie Milligan. Nayfack is currently developing Junk: A Rock Opera with the Swedish pop band Brainpool, Jahn Sood's new folk opera The Disappearing Man and The Craft - the Musical with composer Kevin Michael Jones.
