UC Santa Barbara's Professional Artists Lab and the California NanoSystems Institute are presenting the play, which won the first-ever Scientists, Technologists, and Artists Generating Exploration (STAGE) competition created by the two organizations to honor the best new play about science and technology.

Lawrence's Broadway credits include Chicago, Fiddler on the Roof and Cabaret. She was a regular on "NYPD Blue" and has guest-starred on "Desperate Housewives," among other shows.

Cassidy played Zach Stevens on "The O.C." Rubinek has appeared in "And the Band Played On" and "Unforgiven," among other films, and had the recurring role as Donny Douglas on "Frasier."
