Robert O'Hara will direct the Oct. 9-Nov. 11 premiere of the four-actor play, which according to the Public, "explores the surreal, bizarre, and outrageous comedy that lies in dealing with death and healing. Wild With Happy follows the journey of a young man named Gil who plans to scatter his mother's ashes in the place where she was the most happy."
Domingo (Scottsboro Boys, Passing Strange) will portray Gil, with Jackson (Jamaica) as Terry, Maurice McRae ("24," "NYPD Blue") as Mo and Washington (Ths Scottsboro Boys) as Adelaide/Aunt Glo.
Wild With Happy will officially open Oct. 23.
The Public Theater also announced that single tickets are now on sale for its fall season, which includes the Michael John LaChiusa-Sybille Pearson musical Giant, Tony winner Richard Nelson's world-premiere play Sorry and the premiere of Nathan Englander's The Twenty-Seventh Man.
