One additional title is yet to be announced. Magic prides itself on being a theatre for new works.

The West Coast premiere of White's The Other Place (directed by Greco, Sept. 12-Oct. 14) "follows brilliant scientist Juliana Smithton as she unravels a personal, 15-year-old mystery, sifting through disjointed facts, half truths, and cloudy memories that lead her back to a Cape Cod cottage where a revelation awaits her." MCC Theater produced the play's Off-Broadway premiere. Magic previously staged White's Annapurna.

Ziegler's Another Way Home (directed by Meredith McDonough, Nov. 7-Dec. 9) is "a funny, moving, and uplifting examination of what it means to be a family," according to Magic. "While visiting their son at summer sleep away camp, obsessive middle-aged Jewish parents Lillian and Philip are compelled to question everything they thought they understood about their children, their marriage, and their true desires."

Billed by Magic as a "multi-layered fever dream," Solis' Se Llama Cristina (directed by Loretta Greco, Jan. 30-March 3, 2013) is "derived from the same DNA as famed Magic playwright Sam Shepard. When a man and woman wake up in a strange room, they must piece together their past identities and relationship while constructing a new future free from all that has come before."

March brings the Bay Area premiere of Myatt's The Happy Ones (director TBA, March 27-April 28, 2013) set in 1975 in Orange County, CA, which is "the happiest place on earth for appliance storeowner Walter Wells," according to Magic. "But when his world is suddenly turned upside down, Walter must struggle to navigate grief, wrestle with forgiveness, and rediscover the power of friendship in this uplifting, powerful story about new beginnings." Myatt's The Sex Habits of American Women played in Magic's 2003-04 season. The season will end with a yet-to-be determined fifth play.
