The master himself, at age 86, will appear as a special guest to share memories and sing several songs.

The actress played one of the major soprano roles of musical theatre, Amalia in Harnick and Jerry Bock's She Loves Me, in Boston and Williamstown, MA, and fell in love with the humanity of Harnick's work. (She also appeared in a college production of Harnick and Joe Raposo's A Wonderful Life, at Harnick's alma mater, Northwestern Unversity.)

At She Loves Him, expect familiar favorites from Harnick's big hits Fiddler On the Roof, She Loves Me and Fiorello!, plus rarely-heard selections from his early Off-Broadway career, film scores and unproduced musicals. ("The Boston Beguine" specialty will be introduced to a new generation.) Scott Cady is music directing. Piano, bass and woodwind are part of the mix. Read Playbill.com's recent feature on Harnick, in which he shares his thoughts about his colleagues, the form and the state of musical theatre.
