The closing of British writer Jonathan Harvey's Hushabye Moutain Dec. 19 will finish off Theater LaB Houston's contemporary British works season. The U.S. premiere of the play began Nov. 17 with Jim Philips directing.

In Hushabye, Danny finds himself unable to "pass over" to heaven until he has reconciled his problems on earth, including his relationship with his absent mother. Meanwhile, his lover, Connor, and his best friend, Lana, are struggling to overcome their loss of Danny.

Harvey is best known for his play, Beautiful Thing, which was not only made into a film but cropped up in productions across the country from San Francisco to Chicago to Off-Broadway. His Guiding Star recently played at the Royal National Theatre.

Joel Sandel, Dustin Ross, Tiffani Ginn, James Lane, Scott Bonasso and Susan Shofner star in Hushabye Mountain.
