News 'Shining Star' Douglas Sills To Be Honored at Jane Elissa Leukemia Benefit Oct. 5 Douglas Sills, star of Broadway's The Scarlet Pimpernel, will be the Broadway guest of honor at the eleventh annual Jane Elissa Extravaganza to Benefit the Leukemia Society of America, Oct. 5, 1998 at the Marriot Marquis, New York.

Douglas Sills, star of Broadway's The Scarlet Pimpernel, will be the Broadway guest of honor at the eleventh annual Jane Elissa Extravaganza to Benefit the Leukemia Society of America, Oct. 5, 1998 at the Marriot Marquis, New York.

Sills will be given the "Shining Star" Award, an honor that has been awarded to such Broadway luminaries as Robert Cuccioli (Jekyll & Hyde) and Laurie Beechman.

Other Broadway guests who will perform in a Broadway concert and celebrity fashion show include Sean McDermott (Grease!), Christine Andreas, Lauri Landry, (Scarlet Pimpernel), Rob Evan, Raymond McLeod (Jekyll & Hyde), BJ Crosby and Bobby Daye (Smokey Joe's Cafe).

Former All My Children producer Francesca James and "General Hospital" star Jackie Zeman will receive the Charlotte M. Meyere Volunteer Recognition Award.

All My Children's Walt Willey will serve as master of ceremonies. Tickets for the gala range from $1,000 (which includes a private meeting and photo opportunity with the honorees and celebrity guests, as well as a reception, dinner, show, and special autographed souvenir) to a $90 ticket for just the celebrity fashion show and concert.
