News Shoshana Bean and Cheyenne Jackson to Preview Songs from Detour and Piece Wicked's Shoshana Bean, All Shook Up's Cheyenne Jackson and former Aida star Lisa Brescia will take part in an evening of Scott Alan songs Aug. 22.

The 7 PM concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre will feature songs from two Alan musicals, Detour and Piece, as well as several other works by the up-n-coming composer. Alan will accompany the singers on piano. For a preview of composer Alan's work, visit his website at www.scottalan.net.

Shoshana Bean, who is currently starring as Elphaba in Broadway's Wicked, played Shelley in the original cast of the Tony-winning musical Hairspray. Originally from Portland, Oregon, Bean attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music before heading to NYC. She was first cast in the Off-Broadway production of Godspell and then in the national tour of Leader of the Pack. Bean was also recently seen in the all-star Hair benefit concert. The singer-actress is currently working on her debut solo album for Pure Records.

Cheyenne Jackson, who heads the cast of All Shook Up, has appeared on Broadway in Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie. He starred in the premiere cast of Altar Boyz, and his regional credits include West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, Children of Eden, Hair, Carousel, Damn Yankees and Kismet. Jackson is a member of the Broadway Inspirational Voices.

On Broadway Lisa Brescia has been seen in Aida and Jesus Christ Superstar. Her regional credits include A Little Night Music; Brigadoon; and Actor, Lawyer, Indian Chief. A graduate of the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, Brescia toured worldwide as Mama with The Mamas and the Papas.
