The complete script of the Tony Award-winning musical, Parade, will be published in the summer 2000 issue of Show Music magazine, a publication of the Goodspeed Opera House.

Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy) wrote the libretto and Jason Robert Brown (Songs For a New World) penned the music and lyrics, drawing on the real-life story of a Jewish factory manager who is wrongly accused of murdering a girl in 1913 Atlanta. Uhry and Brown both won Tony Awards for their work, which was seen December 1998 to February 1999 at Lincoln Center Theater's Vivian Beaumont Theatre.

A four-month national tour of Parade, directed by original helmer Harold Prince and musical-directed by Brown, began in Atlanta June 13. A cast album on the RCA label is on store shelves.

Show Music previously published the libretti of Triumph of Love and Big. The summer 2000 issue is on newsstands now. The Parade script includes photographs from the original Broadway production and is accompanied by an article by Playbill On-Line contributor Eric Grode.
