News Shrek's James Honored with Sardi's Caricature Sept. 10 Tony Award nominee Brian d'Arcy James, currently starring in Shrek the Musical, will be honored with a Sardi's caricature Sept. 10.

The unveiling of the caricature will be held at 4:30 PM at the famed Manhattan eatery. The event is by-invitation-only.

Brian d'Arcy James, who was Tony-nominated for his performance in the title role of Shrek the Musical, made his Broadway debut in Blood Brothers, and his other Main Stem credits include The Apple Tree, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, Carousel, Titanic and Sweet Smell of Success, earning a Tony nomination for his performance in the latter. James' Off-Broadway credits include Next to Normal as well as The Good Thief (Obie Award), The Wild Party, Ancestral Voices, Velvet Vise, Public Enemy and Floyd Collins.

He will be part of the cast of Donald Margulies' Time Stands Still for Manhattan Theatre Club in January 2010.

Sardi's Restaurant is located in Manhattan at 234 West 44th Street.
