Industry News Shubert Organization Partners With Tech Venture Capital Fund and Training Company for Broadway Tech Accelerator Applications are now open for the opportunity to receive investments, mentorships, pilot programs, and more—all in the name of theatre innovation.

The Shubert Organization has partnered with Exponential Creativity Ventures and IT Mentors to launch Broadway Tech Accelerator, a new initiative aimed to finance, mentor, and support emerging companies with an eye on the future of theatre.

The program is now accepting applications through April 30, from which four participants will be chosen for the inaugural run, set to officially begin June 10 and culminate in a demo day September 10.

The initiative encourages entrepreneurs to explore the evolving landscape of live entertainment, offering a fast-track business development plan by combining the theatre industry (via the Shubert Organization) with investment funds (ECV) and technical training (IT Mentors).

Those accepted will receive a total of $140,000 through in-kind and cash investments; four weeks of on-site, theatre district office space in the Sardi’s building; a 13-week curriculum covering product development, marketing, pitch crafting, Learn Startup methodology, and more; mentorships from individuals in the tech and live entertainment fields; and a demo day to present in front of press and follow-on investors.

Mentors will include Playbill Vice President Alex Birsh, Situation Interactive Founder Damian Bazadona, Music Theatre International CEO Drew Cohen, Show-Score Co-Founder Deeksha Gaur, John Gore Organization COO Lauren Reid, the Shubert Organization’s Jennifer Tattenbaum, and producer and SiriusXM On Broadway host Brisa Trinchero.
