News Shuler Hensley and Finn Wittrock Among Cast of Kennedy Center's The Guardsman Casting has been announced for The Kennedy Center's upcoming production of Ferenc Molnár's The Guardsman, featuring a new literal translation by Richard Nelson.

Directed by Gregory Mosher, performances are scheduled for May 25-June 23 in the Eisenhower Theater. Opening is May 30.

The cast will feature Finn Wittrock as The Actor, Sarah Wayne Callies as The Actress and Tony winner Shuler Hensley as The Critic.

The comedy, according to press notes, "tells the story of newlywed husband and wife actors. The jealous husband suspects that, if given the opportunity, his wife could be unfaithful to him. In an attempt to prove his suspicion true, he disguises himself as a guardsman and tries to seduce her under false identity – bringing drama into their real lives."

The upcoming staging will also feature scenic design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by Jane Greenwood, lighting design by Peter Kaczorowski and sound design by Scott Lehrer.
