News Sieber, Steggert, DeGarmo, De Haas, Noll, Osnes and More Will Join Composer Alan on New CD A host of theatre favorites — including 2010 Tony nominee Bobby Steggert — will be heard on composer and lyricist Scott Alan's third studio recording, "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up," which is due in the fall.

Alan is currently in the studio recording the new disc, which follows his earlier recordings, "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys."

His guest stars on the new disc include Nikki Renee Daniels (Promises, Promises), Diana DeGarmo (Hair), Darius de Haas (Children of Eden), Cassie McIvor (Wicked – Japan), Crystal Monee Hall (Rent), Morgan James (The Addams Family), Patina Miller (West End’s Sister Act), Christiane Noll (Ragtime), Laura Osnes (South Pacific), Zak Resnick (The Broadway Boys), Christopher Sieber (Shrek: The Musical), Steggert (Ragtime) and Willemijn Verkaik (Wicked – Germany).

Jesse Vargas is the arranger, orchestrator, conductor and co-producer of the CD. Song titles include "Watch Me Soar," "Nothing More," "I Wish" and "Over the Mountains."

It's a busy time for composer Alan, who will make his Australian concert debut Sept. 3 at Brisbane Powerhouse's Powerhouse Theatre; tickets are now on sale by calling (07) 3358 8600 or by visiting www.harvestrain.com.au. And, on Sept. 26 London audiences will be treated to Simply The Music of Scott Alan at the New Players Theatre. The concerts, which will showcase brand-new songs by composer Alan as well as highlights from his catalogue, will boast the talents of Shoshana Bean (Wicked-New York), Sierra Boggess (Love Never Dies), Louise Dearman (Wicked - London), Hadley Fraser (Fantasticks), Ashleigh Gray (Wicked - London), Jodie Jacobs (Jest End), Norm Lewis (Les Miz – Broadway & London), Patina Miller (Sister Act), Stuart Matthew Price (Parade) and Willemijn Verkaik (Wicked – Germany). Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. His current theatre projects include Piece, which was featured at the 2003 Palo Alto TheatreWorks festival, the 2005 NAMT festival and the 2007 Festival of New Musicals at Village Theatre; and the song cycle The Warmth of the Womb.
