She succeeds Golden Globe nominee Emma Stone ("Easy A"), who made her Broadway debut as Sally in the Roundabout Theatre Company revival. The production, starring Tony winner Alan Cumming, continues through March 29 at Studio 54.
The extended engagement also features 2014 Tony Award nominees Linda Emond and Danny Burstein. The production officially opened April 24 at Studio 54.
Academy Award winner Sam Mendes (director) and Academy Award nominee Rob Marshall (co-director/choreographer), who were Tony-nominated for their work on the 1998 production, returned to recreate their direction and choreography from the 1998 Tony Award-winning production. Once again, they converted Studio 54 into the gritty Kit Kat Klub, with cabaret-type seating as well as traditional theatre seating, to recreate the environment of the notorious pre-war Berlin nightclub.
The cast also features Bill Heck as Cliff, Aaron Krohn as Ernst and Hani Furstenberg as Fraulein Kost. The Kit Kat Klub boys and girls are Will Carlyon, Kaleigh Cronin, Caleb Damschroder, Benjamin Eakeley, Andrea Goss, Leeds Hill, Kristin Olness, Kelly Paredes, Jessica Pariseau, Dylan Paul, Evan Siegel, Stacey Sipowicz and Katrina Yaukey. Cabaret features a book by Joe Masteroff, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb. It is based on the play by John Van Druten and stories by Christopher Isherwood.
The original design team also returns for the 2014 production, including set and club design by Robert Brill, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Peggy Eisenhauer and Mike Baldassari and sound design by Brian Ronan. Patrick Vaccariello is the musical director.
