News Sierra Boggess' Solo Recording, "Awakening: Live at 54 Below," Will Be Released in December The debut solo recording from Phantom of the Opera's Sierra Boggess, which is titled "Awakening: Live At 54 BELOW," will be released digitally Dec. 6 and on CD Dec. 10 on the Broadway Records label.

Recorded live at the Manhattan nightspot 54 Below, the iTunes and CD editions feature liner notes by Hal Prince and Andrew Lloyd Webber. The CD is currently available for pre-order by clicking here.

Prince calls Sierra “a crystal-clear soprano and she can belt with the best of 'em. Add to that, she's as good and true an actress as I've ever worked with and all of this talent is delivered in a beautiful package.” Lloyd Webber added, “Sierra is a one-off, a true original, someone who I cannot wait to work with again if she will allow me to.”

“I am thrilled to announce that my debut solo album is my live show at 54 BELOW! I hope anyone who hears it enjoys the journey we go on together and feels inspired and awakened!” said Boggess in a statement.

Boggess is joined on a few songs by two members of her family: Summer Boggess on cello and her father, Mike Boggess, on an acoustic guitar he built himself.

The music director for "Awakening: Live at 54 BELOW" is Brian Hertz, and the recording is produced by Michael Moritz and executive-produced by Van Dean and Kenny Howard, of The Broadway Consortium. Sierra Boggess is perhaps best known for her Broadway performances as Ariel in The Little Mermaid and as Christine in the 25th anniversary engagement of The Phantom of the Opera; she also portrayed Christine in the Phantom sequel, Love Never Dies.

Boggess will return to 54 Below Dec. 2, 4 and 5 at 7 PM and Dec. 6 and 7 at 8 PM to celebrate the release of her album. Tickets are $45-$60 cover plus a $25 minimum. To purchase tickets, visit www.54Below.com.
