Produced by Victoria Lang, Rich Affannato and Donna Trinkoff, performances will continue through Aug. 13 with the possibility of an extension.

Christopher Gattelli, who helmed the musical's 2010 London run, will direct with musical direction by Mark Hartman.

Silence! The Musical features a book by Tony nominee Hunter Bell and music and lyrics by Jon and Al Kaplan.

Silence! was the winner of the 2005 FringeNYC award for Outstanding Musical. The musical, according to press notes for a previous reading, "follows F.B.I. trainee Clarice Starling as she uses her relationship with Dr. Hannibal Lecter to hunt serial killer Buffalo Bill. The production transforms the film's dialogue into a full-scale musical, complete with singing serial killers, unprintable titles, and a chorus of tap-dancing lambs."

An official announcement about the production has yet to be made.

Director-choreographer Christopher Gattelli was most recently represented on Broadway with his choreography for Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. Other Broadway credits include musical staging for the Tony-winning revival of South Pacific (Tony nomination), choreography for Jason Robert Brown's 13, Sunday in the Park with George (transferred from London's Menier Chocolate Factory and Wyndham's Theatre), The Ritz, High Fidelity and Martin Short: Fame Becomes Me. His Off-Broadway credits include Bat Boy: The Musical, and he also directed the world premiere of Jim Henson's Emmet Otter (at Goodspeed Opera House in Connecticut). Gattelli has also worked in London on the U.K. premiere of Jonathan Larson's tick, tick… BOOM! (at the Menier Chocolate Factory).

Theatre 80 St. Marks is located at 80 St. Marks Place between 1st and 2nd Avenues in Manhattan.
