News Simon Will Be Guest Composer at New Voices Concert; Thoms Hosts The Secret Garden's Lucy Simon will be the guest composer at the upcoming Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex Cabaret Theatre.

Tracie Thoms, who played Joanne in the film version of "Rent," will host the June 18 concert at the downtown cabaret. Show time is 7 PM. The evening will celebrate the talents of new voices Brooke Jacobs, Rich Silverstein, Josh Lamon, Charl Brown and Nadia Wahhab. Guest composer Simon will also speak about the creation of her songs and will accompany herself on a tune from the Tony-nominated Secret Garden score.

Barbara Anselmi will be the musical director for the latest edition of Monday Nights, New Voices, which was launched by composer Scott Alan to "showcase some of today's brightest new talent in New York."
