News Sister Act and Rock of Ages Perform at Opening of the Citi Pond Ice Rink Oct. 28 Cast members from Broadway's Sister Act and Rock of Ages are bundling up to celebrate the opening of Citi Pond, Manhattan's free ice skating rink at Bryant Park, Oct. 28.

The grand opening ceremony begins at 6 PM with performances by champion figure skaters Kimmie Meissner, Isabella Tobias and Deividas Stagniūnas; the casts of Sister Act and Rock of Ages; U.S. National synchronized skating champions the Haydenettes; and Hillside Elementary School’s “Drums of Thunder."

Following the performances, members of the public will be invited to skate at Citi Pond until midnight. The first 100 individuals in line will receive free skate rentals.

Citi Pond will be open through Feb. 26, 2012.

Bryant Park is located behind the New York Public Library on 6th Avenue between 40th and 42nd streets.
