The 8 PM concert, hosted by Siegel, will feature direction and choreography by Jeffry Denman, who will also perform. The starry cast will also include Emily Skinner, Marc Kudisch and Eddie Korbich. Audiences can expect to hear songs from such musicals as Brigadoon, Finian's Rainbow, High Button Shoes, Street Scene and Allegro. Musical director for the evening is Ross Patterson.
In a statement Town Hall executive and artistic director Lawrence C. Zucker said, "We're thrilled to kick off the first Broadway By The Year of this year with an evening of memorable songs from 1947. As that year marked the first year for the Tony Awards, we couldn't think of a better way to showcase these 'treasures' from Broadway's past, performed by some of today's brightest stage stars."
Town Hall is located in Manhattan at 123 West 43rd Street. Tickets, priced $45 and $50, are available by calling (212) 840-2824 or by visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
