News Sky-Pony's Rock Fairy Tale Opens Tonight The world-premiere theatrical event features Lilli Cooper, Kyle Jarrow and Lauren Worsham.

The world premiere of The Wildness: Sky-Pony’s Rock Fairy Tale officially opens Feb. 29. The theatrical event by Brooklyn indie-rock band Sky-Pony blends theatre, rock concert and burlesque. Presented by Ars Nova in collaboration with The Play Company, it features performances by Lauren Worsham, Lilli Cooper and Kyle Jarrow.

Helmed by Tony nominee Sam Buntrock, The Wildness: Sky-Pony’s Rock Fairy Tale is scheduled to run through March 19 at Ars Nova. Performances began Feb. 16.

The show is a collaboration between singer/actress Worsham and her musician/writer husband Kyle Jarrow, featuring original text by Jarrow and Worsham, and songs by Jarrow. According to press notes, the duo "share their fever-dream take on a rock fairy tale about two girls raised to believe they must never venture into the dark woods, and what happens when they do."

Joining Cooper and the duo are David Blasher, Jeffrey Fernandes, Katie Lee Hill, Jamie Mohamdein, Sharone Sayegh and Kevin Wunderlich.

The show features choreography by Chase Brock, scenic design by Kris Stone, costume design by Tilly Grimes, lighting design by Brian Tovar, sound design by Tim O’Heir, projection design by Alex Basco Koch, props design by Sara Morgan and music direction by Wiley DeWeese.
