Cabaret & Concert News Smash and Waitress Star Katharine McPhee Will Launch Fall Concert Tour The Broadway actor and recording artist will play the Kennedy Center as part of her Fall in Love tour.

Katharine McPhee, who recently concluded her extended Broadway run in the Sara Bareilles musical Waitress, will kick off a fall concert tour November 3 at the Kohler Memorial Theatre in Kohler, Wisconsin.

Known for her breakout role as Karen Cartwright, the young Broadway hopeful who lands a shot at the part of a lifetime on NBC’s short-lived musical series Smash, McPhee rose to fame as a contestant on the fifth season of American Idol in 2006. McPhee made her Broadway debut last April, stepping into the starring role of Jenna in Waitress. She currently stars in the CBS drama Scorpion, now in its fourth season.

McPhee’s Fall in Love tour will play stops in Chicago (November 5); Boston (November 6); Bethlehem, PA (November 7); Washington, D.C. (November 8–9); Richmond, VA (November 12); Charlotte, NC (November 14); Clearwater, FL (November 15); and Fort Lauderdale (November 17).
