Anne Kauffman (God's Ear) directs the co-production with Page 73 Productions that was originally to have begun performances in November. Soho Rep postponed Silver Lake in order to extend the U.S. premiere of Sarah Kane's Blasted.
Sixty Miles to Silver Lake will now begin performances Jan. 15, 2009, and officially open Off-Broadway Jan. 22, 2009. The engagement will continue through Feb. 8, 2009.
Adams, who appeared in the MTC revival of Come Back, Little Sheba, will star as the father, Ky, while recent American Buffalo company member DeHaan will portray his son, Denny.
"A moving car. A father and son. The father drives. The son's face is pressed against the rolled up window," state press notes for Silver Lake. "A lifetime can pass in the sixty miles between a boy's soccer practice and his father's new apartment."
Sixty Miles to Silver Lake will have designs by Dane Laffrey (set and costume design), Tyler Micoleau (lighting design) and Leah Gelpe (projection and sound design). For tickets call (212) 941-8632 or visit www.sohorep.org. Soho Rep is located at 46 Walker Street in Manhattan.
