News Soho Rep to Stage Works by Gregory S. Moss, Jomama Jones and Debbie Tucker Green Obie Award-winning downtown theatre company Soho Rep will launch its 2010-2011 Off-Broadway season with the world premiere of Gregory S. Moss' Orange, Hat & Grace.

Soho Rep artistic director Sarah Benson, who staged the U.S. premiere of Blasted, will helm Orange, Hat & Grace, which is set to begin Sept. 15 and officially open Sept. 23. Performances will continue through Oct. 10.

The three-person cast will feature Matthew Maher, Stephanie Roth Haberle and Reyna de Courcy. According to Soho Rep, "In a cabin in the woods, aging Orange finds her orderly life upended by a feral suitor and the reappearance of a figure from her past who is coming home for a final visit. Equal parts American gothic and unlikely romance, Orange, Hat & Grace is a funny, fierce and provocative inquiry into our relationship with the natural world."

Beginning Dec. 28, Jomama Jones: Radiate will launch its U.S. tour at Soho Rep through Jan. 16, 2011. Kym Moore will direct the cast that will include Jones, Helga Davis and Sonja Perryman.

Part theatre, part performance art and part concert, Radiate is described as "a journey marking the highs and lows of a life lived in pursuit of authenticity, love and strength-of-soul. A classic American comeback story, this radiant soul superhero who hit big in the ’80s with 'Ghetto (In My Mind)' and 'Afromatic' returns from darkness as a lone star with singular purpose — to bring her experiences to life through song and narrative."

The U.S. debut of Debbie Tucker Green’s Oliver Award-winning play Born Bad will run March 30-April 24, 2011. Leah C. Gardiner will direct the drama that will officially open April 7. Here's how Soho Rep describes the work: "Dawta says it’s the truth, but other family members remember differently. At once epic and domestic, Tucker Green's explosive drama follows one family trying to make sense of their past."

Casting for Born Bad will be announced at a later date. Soho Rep will also offer its Writer/Director Lab readings in spring 2011.
