All the recently-announced cast changes will go on as planned. Original lead Megan Fairchild will be succeeded by New York City Ballet soloist Georgina Pazcoguin, who will step into the role of Ivy Smith Aug. 11-23. Beginning Aug. 25, Misty Copeland will make her Broadway debut as Ivy for 12 performances only through the show's final performance, Sept. 6.
Directed by John Rando and choreographed by Joshua Bergasse, On the Town began previews Sept. 20, 2014, and officially opened Oct. 16, 2014. The show was nominated for four 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical.

The production currently stars Tony Yazbeck, Jay Armstrong Johnson and Clyde Alves as the sailors on 24-hour shore leave who take on the Big Apple; Megan Fairchild, Alysha Umphress and Elizabeth Stanley as the women who steal their hearts; and Jackie Hoffman in the role of Madame Dilly. Tony winner Michael Rupert plays Judge Pitkin alongside Allison Guinn as Lucy Schmeeler, Tony Award nominee Phillip Boykin and Stephen DeRosa.
Rounding out the cast are David Alvarez, Tanya Birl, Angela Brydon, Holly Ann Butler, Max Clayton, Kristine Covillo, Lori Ann Ferreri, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Paloma Garcia-Lee, Stephen Hanna, Eloise Kropp, Brandon Leffler, Jess LeProtto, Cory Lingner, Skye Mattox, Michael Rosen, Kathryn Terza, Ricky Ubeda, Cody Williams, Mikey Winslow and Kevin Worley.
The classic musical features book and lyrics by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, and music by Leonard Bernstein, performed by the largest orchestra on Broadway. The show is based on an idea by Jerome Robbins.
