News Sondheim on Sondheim Eyes London Bow in 2011 Sondheim on Sondheim, the musical revue of Sondheim's career that intersperses songs from his shows in between recorded video interviews of the composer talking about his work that was seen at Broadway's Studio 54 earlier this year, is eyeing a London bow.

As reported in Variety, producer Sonia Friedman is looking at bringing it to the West End in spring 2011, and plans to entice a rolling cast of major musical theatre names to it by casting a succession of strictly limited engagements over the run. The Broadway production, which ran from March to June 2010, featured Barbara Cook, Vanessa Williams, Tom Wopat and Norm Lewis, with Leslie Kritzer, Erin Mackey, Euan Morton and Matthew Scott also in the cast. It was conceived and directed by James Lapine, Sondheim's collaborator on Sunday in the Park with George, Into the Woods and Passion.

Friedman told Playbill.com that the plans to bring it to London are "by no means confirmed" and that she was "just seeing if it is feasible."
