News Sondheim Revue Putting it Together to Receive London Premiere at St. James Theatre The Stephen Sondheim revue Putting it Together, previously seen Off-Broadway at Manhattan Theatre Club in 1993 and subsequently on Broadway in 1999, is to finally receive its London premiere, beginning performances at the St. James Theatre Jan. 14, 2014, for a run through Feb. 1.

The cast comprises David Bedella, Daniel Crossley, Janie Dee, Damian Humbley and Caroline Sheen, who previously performed a short run of the show at Guildford's G-Live Studio in September. It is directed by Alastair Knights, with choreography by Matthew Rowland and musical supervision by Alex Parker. It is being brought to London by Robert Mackintosh, the St. James Theatre and Hilary A Williams, by arrangement with Cameron Mackintosh.

In a press statement, Cameron Mackintosh commented, "I couldn’t be more delighted that my brother, Robert, is presenting the London premiere of Sondheim's revue Putting it Together – a companion piece to Side by Side by Sondheim that I put together with Julia MacKenzie in England many years ago starring Diana Rigg and subsequently in New York with Julie Andrews and Carol Burnett. Robert’s theatre, the stylish and innovative St. James, should prove the perfect venue for Sondheim’s brilliant, witty and moving material culled from many of his great musicals. Putting it Together is a musical theatrical cocktail that promises to leave audiences shaken, stirred and highly entertained."
