Produced by the Blue Hill Group, a community-based group that specializes in Gilbert & Sullivan operettas, the show will take place Oct 28-29, Nov 2-5 at 8 PM, and Oct. 30 and Nov. 5 at 2 PM. Proceeds from all performances will benefit the Doe Foundation.   Follies, with songs by Stephen Sondheim and book by James Goldman, was originally directed by Harold Prince on Broadway in 1971. Since then, it has received a legendary star-filled concert at Lincoln Center in 1985, a Roundabout revival on Broadway directed by Matthew Warchus in 2001, and numerous regional mountings. Most recently, Ted Chapin's memoir of working on the original Broadway version as a production assistant was released, titled Everything Was Possible: The Birth of the Musical Follies.

  According to production notes, "This multi-layered story has been called Sondheim's greatest masterpiece. Filled with tart sentiment (it's Sondheim after all!), Follies takes place on the eve of the destruction of the historic but now-derelict Weissman Theatre, as former Follies girls gather one last time on the stage where they spent their salad days. Two couples with romantically entangled pasts reunite."
