Following a sell-out run at the tiny fringe Jermyn Street Theatre, where it ran Feb. 10-March 14, Tom Littler's production will transfer to the Arts Theatre for a three-week run, beginning performances March 25 and running to April 11. The show, which received its professional premiere at London's fringe Bridewell Theatre in 1997 and subsequently received its American premiere in a production by the Pegasus Players at Chicago's O'Rourke Center for the Performing Arts in 1999 before being produced at Off-Broadway's Second Stage Theatre in 2000, has a book by Julius J. Epstein, based on the play Front Porch in Flatbush that he co-wrote with his brother Philip G. Epstein.

A musical comedy set just before the Wall Street crash of 1929, it tells the story of a group of friends who dream of escaping their everyday lives in Brooklyn and joining New York's glittering high society.

The production stars Helena Blackman (runner-up in the BBC1 reality TV program "How Do You Solve a Problem like Maria?"), David Ricardo-Pearce (Anthony in Sondheim's Sweeney Todd in the West End), Joanna Hickman (Beth in Sondheim's Merrily We Roll Along and Johanna in Sweeney Todd for director John Doyle at Newbury's Watermill Theatre) and Charlie Cameron (Marty in the West End's Grease).

Primavera's production is directed by Tom Littler (resident director for the West End transfer of A Little Night Music from the Menier to the Garrick), with musical direction by Tom Attwood (recently musical director on The History Boys at the National Theatre and in the West End).
