News Songs from an Unmade Bed — with Original Star Winther — Will Be Part of Summer Theatre Lab Michael Winther, who starred in the critically acclaimed Songs From an Unmade Bed at New York Theatre Workshop, will reprise that song cycle as part of the Williams College Summer Theatre Lab series.

Unmade Bed will be presented at the Massachusetts venue July 14 at 8:30 and 11 PM, July 15 at 5 PM, July 20 at 10:30 PM, July 21 at 11 PM and July 22 at 5 PM. David Schweizer directs.

Songs From an Unmade Bed is described as "a solo song cycle for tenor and three musicians that propels a smart, resilient, wry, and ultimately romantic gay New Yorker through the heartaches and triumphs of love in the big city." With lyrics by Mark Campbell, the production features music by such composers as Debra Barsha, Mark Bennett, Peter Foley, Jenny Giering, Peter Golub, Jake Heggie , Stephen Hoffman, Lance Horne , Gihieh Lee, Steven Lutvak, Steve Marzullo, Brendan Milburn, Chris Miller, Greg Pliska, Kim D. Sherman, Duncan Sheik, Jeffrey Stock and Joseph Thalken.

Songs From an Unmade Bed played New York Theatre Workshop May 12-June 19, 2005.

On Broadway, Michael Winther has appeared in Mamma Mia!, 1776, The Crucible, Artist Descending a Staircase and Damn Yankees, while his Off-Broadway credits include Songs from an Unmade Bed, Hapgood, Berlin to Broadway, Forever Plaid, Predator's Ball and the original cast of Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding. Winther has worked at regional theatres throughout the country, and his film and TV credits include "Independence Day," "Universal Soldier," "Law & Order," "Mary & Rhoda," "NY News," "Rocket Power" and "Wild Thornberrys."
