News Songwriter John Bucchino Debuts Archives at Duplex, Mondays in Sept. Singer-songwriter John Bucchino, whose works have been recorded by Patti LuPone, Barbara Cook and Michael Feinstein, will debut his new show, Archives, at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre in September.

Singer-songwriter John Bucchino, whose works have been recorded by Patti LuPone, Barbara Cook and Michael Feinstein, will debut his new show, Archives, at The Duplex Cabaret Theatre in September.

Bucchino, who contributed songs to the musical 3hree, will offer songs "pulled from the archives" as well as brand-new material during his Duplex engagement, which is scheduled for Mondays, Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30 at 9 PM. Bucchino's shows will also include surprise guest stars from the worlds of theatre and cabaret.

A recipient of the 1997 Johnny Mercer Songwriter Award, the 1998 Songwriters' Fellowship Award, the 1998 ASCAP Foundation Richard Rodgers New Horizons Award, the 2000 Second Stage Constance Klinsky Award, The Gilman & Gonzalez-Falla Commendation Award and, in 2001, The Jonathan Larson and Kleban awards, John Bucchino has written songs for the musicals The Artist at 40, Urban Myths and Lavender Girl as well as the animated film "Joseph, King of Dreams." His CDs include "Grateful, The Songs of John Bucchino" and "Solitude Lessons."

The Duplex Cabaret Theatre is located at 61 Christopher Street in New York's Greenwich Village. There is a $15 cover charge and a two-drink minimum; call (212) 255-5438 for reservations.
