Gwon and Mercurio will join a host of other songwriters, who will lend their music and own voices to the 7 PM concert. All proceeds will benefit the 2010 NYMF production of Nighttime Traffic, a new musical by Alex Wyse.

Wyse will host and perform as part of the evening that will also feature songwriters Scott Alan (Piece), Tommy Newman (Band Geeks), Jason Michael Snow, Julia Meinwald, Rob Shapiro and Joey Contreras.

Additional special guests will be announced shortly.

Nighttime Traffic has book, music and lyrics by Wyse. According to NYMF, "When Max and his boyfriend Calder find themselves in a hospital awaiting Calder’s heart transplant, the nurse supplies them with a mind-altering pill that slows time, turning one minute into one hour. Fueled by a sweeping contemporary score, Nighttime Traffic follows three characters through a world of thumping music, altered perceptions, and unanticipated inspiration as they spin minutes into moments and search for solace in unsettling times."

There is a $15 cover charge and a $15 food/drink minimum. Phone (212) 695-6909 for reservations. The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located in the West Bank Café at 407 West 42nd Street.
