Hartford Stage associate artistic director Jeremy B. Cohen will direct Wright's comedy, which is scheduled to run through Nov. 22. Mistakes Were Made will follow the premiere of the late Horton Foote's The Orphans' Home Cycle, which launches the season Sept. 3-Oct. 24.

Mistakes Were Made, according to press notes, "details a day in the office life of N. Felix Artifex (Pantoliano), a micromanaging studio executive trying to sell a film entangled with money from the Middle East. His working environment is less than ideal – high-stressed, barely in control – and it leads to breathtakingly unexpected events when his well-ordered plans go awry."

Additional casting and creative duties will be announced at a later date.

Pantoliano's numerous screen credits include his Emmy-winning work on "The Soprano," as well as "The Fugitive," "The Matrix," "Goonies," "Risky Business," "Midnight Run," "Bound" and "Memento." He also appeared in the original Broadway production of Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune.

Hartford Stage has also confirmed dates of production for Gee's Bend (Jan. 4–Feb. 14, 2010), the world premiere of Motherhood (Feb. 25-March 21, 2010) and Tom Sawyer (April 1–May 9, 2010).

Hartford Stage is located at 50 Church Street in downtown Hartford, CT. For more information visit www.hartfordstage.org.
