Shakers Co. productions presents an evening of explosive theatre, with John Patrick Shanley's Danny and the Deep Blue Sea and Edward Allan Baker's North of Providence staged back to back.
Vannucci and Anthony Jude appear in John Patrick Shanley's dark work, which explores a volatile encounter between two troubled souls in a Bronx dive. Halcyon Hurst (Savage In Limbo) directs.
Also part of the evening will be Edward Allan Baker's one-act North of Providence. Halcyon Hurst and Casey Clarke appear in the work as two siblings who battle and rehash old wounds as their family faces a medical crisis.
David Cruse, technical director for the St. George Theatre, serves as set designer and technical supervisor for the double-bill.
In 2005 Vannucci starred Off-Broadway opposite John Turturro in Eduardo De Filippo's Souls of Naples – a role she reprised internationally. Her screen credits include "Monk," "The Bronx Is Burning" and the upcoming film "Privileged." Performances are at 7 PM Feb. 15-16 at Under St. Marks Theatre, located in Manhattan at 94 St. Mark's Place. Tickets are available by calling (646) 452-9391.
