The cast of the Broadway Sound of Music revival is wasting no time. Having opened Mar. 12 at the Martin Beck Theatre, the cast, headed by Rebecca Luker and Michael Siberry, will go into the Hit Factory Studios in midtown Manhattan to record the cast album for RCA Victor records Monday, Mar. 16.
Also featured in the cast are Patti Cohenour as Mother Abbess. The score adds two songs from the popular film, "Something Good" and "I Have Confidence."
The CD is scheduled for release May. 19.
Performances of the Andrew Lloyd Webber musical, based on the Billy Wilder film, begin in May.
