Center Stage
Aug. 5: Part two of our focus on the South Pacific orchestrations. Guests are two of the unsung creative minds behind the Tony-winning revival: Ted Sperling, who conducts the orchestra, and Bruce Pomahac, who reconstructed the orchestrations for the Rodgers and Hammerstein Organization. They play samples of the new cast album and discuss how a combination of sleuthing and artistry re-created the rich sound of the original.
