News Spamalot's Lachey to Host "Broadway on Broadway" Concert Drew Lachey, the second season champion of ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" who is currently playing Patsy in Broadway's Spamalot, will host the 17th annual "Broadway on Broadway" concert.

As previously announced, "Broadway on Broadway" — the annual, free outdoor concert in Times Square that celebrates the upcoming theatre season — is scheduled for Sept. 14.

Presented by Continental Airlines and produced by The Broadway League and the Times Square Alliance, the 17th annual event will begin at 11:30 AM ET. Over 50,000 fans are expected to enjoy the concert that includes performances and/or appearances from stars of Broadway's musicals and plays.

The performers will be backed by a 30-piece orchestra. Participating shows will include A Tale of Two Cities, Billy Elliott, 13, Avenue Q, Chicago, The Little Mermaid, Grease, Gypsy, Hairspray, In the Heights, Jersey Boys, The Lion King, Legally Blonde, Mamma Mia!, Mary Poppins, The Phantom of the Opera, Spring Awakening, [title of show], Wicked, Young Frankenstein and Monty Python's Spamalot.

In a statement Lachey said, "It is an honor to be hosting this year's 'Broadway on Broadway.' I am delighted to be a part of the Broadway community and I love this great city. I look forward to showing the Broadway fans from New York and around the world just what we have to offer."

Host Lachey, a member of the pop group 98 Degrees, made his Broadway debut in Rent.
