News Spanish Peter Pan to Fly Into West End's Garrick Theatre Peter Pan – El Musical will arrive at London's Garrick Theatre for a limited run of only 36 performances. Previews will begin March 28 with an official opening on March 30.

First produced in Madrid and Barcelona in 2002, this Spanish adaptation – which will be performed in Spanish, with English surtitles – has been touring throughout Spain over the last two years. Over 1,000 performances have been given so far, seen by more than 150,000 people. At a press event to mark its London launch, director, adaptor and star Cristina Fargas (who plays Mrs. Darling) was joined by fellow cast members Miguel Antelo (Peter Pan), Miguel Angel Gamero (Captain Hook), Isabel Malavia (Wendy) and Pedro Espadas (Mr. Smee). The actors performed three songs from the original score of 14 songs, with lyrics by Cesar Constanti and Pablo Pinalla, among others.

An onstage cast of 25 from a company of 40 in all will bring the £2 million production to London, whose West End stand is estimated to be costing a further £1 million.
