The 80-minute solo show Throw Me on the Burnpile and Light Me Up from writer-performer Lucy Alibar will play Lincoln Center Theater’s LCT3 December 6, 7, and 8 at the Claire Tow Theater.
Alibar is best known for her Oscar-nominated screenplay for Beast of the Southern Wild, co-written by Behn Zeitlin, which was based on her play Juicy and Delicious.
Burnpile is a collection of coming-of-age stories, all set in Florida. Alibar has previously performed the show at Center Theatre Group’s Kirk Douglas Theatre in Los Angeles.
The production is directed by Neel Keller, who has helmed the world premieres of Eliza Clark’s Quack, Julia Cho’s Office Hour, Jennifer Haley’s The Nether, Kimber Lee’s different words for the same thing, and Dael Orlandersmith’s Until the Flood and Forever.
