News Spelling Bee and Stuff Happens Win Big at Australia's 2006 Helpmann Awards The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Stuff Happens took home big honors at Australia's 2006 Helpmann Awards.

The Helpmann Awards, named for Sir Robert Helpmann to commemorate his memory and achievements, were established in 2001. The honors recognize "distinguished artistic achievement and excellence in the many disciplines of Australia's vibrant live performance sectors, including musical theatre, contemporary music, comedy, opera, classical music, dance and physical theatre."

The 2006 awards were presented July 31 at Star City, Sydney's Lyric Theatre. Below are the winners of the theatrical awards.

Best Play
