PlayBlog Spider-Man Take Two: A Sneak Peek on "Nightline" (Video) Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark resumed preview performances at the Foxwoods Theatre May 12 after going on a three-week hiatus, and will officially open on Broadway June 14. Cynthia McFadden, of ABC's "Nightline," went backstage at the Foxwoods for a sneak peek into Spider-Man 2.0, as wags are calling the revised musical.


Playwright Roberto Aguirre Sacasa (a Marvel comics writer and an acclaimed dramatist), director Philip William McKinley (The Boy From Oz) and choreographer Chase Brock (City Center Encores! Lost in the Stars) are the new additions to the musical's creative team.

Composers Bono and The Edge talk to ABC about why the musical needed to be changed and even said they agreed with The New York Times' poor review of the original production.

Injured actor Christopher Tierney is also back to the musical after taking a break to recover from his fall during the Dec. 20, 2010, performance — he rehearses his flying stunts over the audience at the theatre and even shows the news anchor his battle wounds from his 30-foot drop.

Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark stars Reeve Carney as Peter Parker, Jennifer Damiano as Mary Jane and T.V. Carpio as Arachne.
