News St. Ann's Final Shows in Dumbo Space Will Be New Works by The Wooster Group St. Ann's Warehouse will present two new works by The Wooster Group, marking the final presentation at the Dumbo performance space before the organization moves to its permanent home in the historic Tobacco Warehouse in Brooklyn Bridge Park.

The first of the works from the Wooster Group will be the New York premiere of Cry, Trojans!, directed by Elizabeth LeCompte and taking on Troilus and Cressida, William Shakespeare’s Trojan War play. Performances will run March 24-April 19 with an official opening night set for April 7.

The cast of Cry, Trojans! features Ari Fliakos, Greg Mehrten, Andrew Schneider, Scott Shepherd, and Kate Valk with Koosil-ja, Suzzy Roche, Casey Spooner, Jim Fletcher and Eric Dyer.

The Shakespearean epic will be followed by Early Shaker Spirituals, directed by Kate Valk. The show is based on a 1976 LP of Shaker hymns, marches, anthems and interviews recorded by Sister R. Mildred Barker and the sisters of the Shaker community in Sabbathday Lake, ME. Performances will run April 23-May 4 with an official opening night slated for May 1.

The performers in Early Shaker Spirituals will channel the voices of the Shaker singers, giving a new live rendering of all 20 tracks from the album. The cast features Cynthia Hedstrom, Elizabeth LeCompte, Frances McDormand, Suzzy Roche and Bebe Miller, with Jamie Poskin reading from the liner notes. Following the songs is a series of seven dances in which the women are joined by Matthew Brown, Modesto Flako Jimenez, Bobby McElver, Bebe Miller and Andrew Schneider.
