News St. Louis Premiere of Temperley's Souvenir to Star Powers and Cahill Neva Rae Powers will star as tone deaf eccentric Florence Foster Jenkins in the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis production of Stephen Temperley's Souvenir.

Powers, who recently starred in Grey Gardens at the Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati and the national tour of Little Women, will head the cast of the St. Louis premiere of the touching comedy, which runs March 11-29 in the Rep's Studio Theatre.

Joining Powers will be Edwin Cahill as Cosme McMoon. Michael Evan Haney directs the run, which marks the final production of the Rep's Studio Theatre season.

According to production notes, "Eccentric socialite Florence Foster Jenkins believed herself a naturally gifted coloratura soprano, when in fact she couldn’t sing a note in tune. But with an indomitable zest for music and with her reluctant accompanist Cosme McMoon in tow, she went from drawing room charity concerts to a sold-out Carnegie Hall concert, all the while oblivious to the audiences rolling in the aisles."

Designing Souvenir are Brian C. Mehring (scenic designer); Betsy Krausnick, Tracy Christenson and Reba Senske (costume designers); John Wylie (lighting designer) and Fitz Patton and Rusty Wandall (sound designers).

For tickets phone (314) 968-4925 or visit The Rep's online box office at www.repstl.org. The Loretto-Hilton Center for the Performing Arts is located at 130 Edgar Road in Webster Groves, MO.
